As Falls Idaho, So Falls Idaho Falls

I have arrived in Idaho Falls. It was a ten and one-half hour drive. And it started a day late. By I am here for the night. It's my first long distance driving vacation in over 10 years.

I stopped in Beaver County, the one in Utah, to fill up the tank en route. The gas station had giant wooden beavers!

I had to get a photo with one.

And now for a picture of a beaver in a sombrero:

We didn't have those in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, growing up. We did have tacos. But only at Hank's. Hank's Frozen Custard. They sold tacos out of the back of the walk-up store.

And speaking of frozen custard, my first stop after completing the ten and one-half hour journey to Idaho Falls:

The awesomeness that is Culver's. I did have some of those Wisconsin cheese curds advertised on the electric sign there as part of my main course before having a sundae with Vanilla custard (the finest of the flavors), raspberries, and marshmallow sauce. As the sombrero-wearing taco-loving Beaver south of the border (the Idaho/Utah border, that is) would say: Delicioso.

You know what else is great about Idaho Falls:

This awesome, huge fountain with two giant eagles (and a mountain lion) in the middle of a traffic circle on the periphery of downtown Idaho Falls. You can see the mountain lion from the other side:

Of course, you can't see it very well because of the position of the sun on the horizon. This is the first coolest thing in Idaho Falls. (The second coolest is the bakery that makes cinnamon rolls that launched the whole Cinnabon thing. Right here in Idaho Falls.) Tomorrow it's off to Yellowstone National Park by way of Grand Teton National Park.
