The room is furnished in antiques:
I'm not sure the furniture was "antique" when first placed there, but it is now. This was once one of the grand hotels of Porto. It was the first hotel in Porto to have in-room running water. And the rooms have balconies. With views:
Lots of street noise too, deep into the night, unfortunately, but that's a minor inconvenience. Lots of sitting side rooms, too.
The roll-down part of this secretary no longer rolls back up:
This is the way to the breakfast area which, fortunately, is not filled with antique foods. Croissants, coffee, pasteis de Nata, yogurt, ham, etc.
And from here we exit the Grande Hotel de Paris and walk out into the Porto morning:
