The web-housed thoughts and statements of an attorney practicing employment law, fighting for justice for all Nevada workers, in Las Vegas, Nevada USA, the best city in America in which to practice law and the most exciting city in the Milky Way Galaxy. This was going to be a law blog, but it turned into a travel blog. A blog of my travels. And that's a better use of a blog in everybody's estimation.

Phot-o' the Day: Train at Pike's Peak Summit, Manitou Springs, Colorado
The civilized way to get to the summit of Pike's Peak (14,110 ft above sea level, so you know) is to take the train.
You catch the train in Manitou Springs, outside Colorado Springs, Colorado. It's a nice little town, with upscale restaurants for the tourist gentry. The train ride is an ascent of several thousand feet into a whole new climate zone. It was may when I was there, and, up at the summit, it was still the dead of winter. I'm guessing it is almost always the dead of winter up there.
Visited May 2007.
